Configure global settings for password management, document securities, report format preferences and other custom settings.  Custom Settings apply to all user accounts and document types.

 

 

 

 

 

       Password Security

NOTE: In an SSO  (Single Sign-On)  environment, password changes are made in Active Directory, not Levenger.Net

 

Select an existing item and click Edit to enable changes.

 

Alias of "admin" to use - Specify an alias account to use instead of the built-in admin account

 

Note on minimum number of characters: Entering 0 (zero) for the value eliminates the requirement for characters of this type.  However, it does not preclude the use of such characters in the password.

Minimum number of alpha characters in password - includes a-z, A-Z
Minimum number of numeric characters in password - includes 0-9
Minimum number of of special characters in password - includes ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + - = [ { ] } \ | ` ~ ' " ; : / ? and other standard, printable characters.

 

Number of days a User account expires - default expiration of user accounts expressed in days from account creation date
Number of days a User password expires - default expiration of user passwords expressed in days from password change date
Number of days to Warn a user before password expiration - expressed in days before the password expires.
Number of most recent passwords that cannot be reused - passwords can't be duplicated until changed this many times.
Password maximum length - the password will be limited to this many characters.
Password minimum length - the password must be at least this many characters.  Note: minimum length is 2 characters.

 

Click Save to save changes.

 

 

 

       Document Security and Date Ranges

NOTE: Each of the following fields specifies the number of days in the past users are allowed to search for, and act upon, historical records.  Entering a 1 (one) designates access for the current business day only.  Entering a value of 0 (zero) indicates an infinite number of days, invalidating this security feature.

 

Select an existing item and click Edit to enable changes.

 

Number of days a check can be reprinted - The number of days back that a user can search to select a document for reprint.
Number of days a check can be stopped payment - The number of days in the past a user can search/record that a stop payment was issued.
Number of days a check can be voided - The number of days in the past a user can search/issue a document void within.
Number of days a GL can be reprinted - The number of days back that a user can search to select GL documents for reprint.
Number of days a saved document can be edited - The maximum age, in days, of a saved document that can be edited.
Number of days a saved document can be printed - The maximum age, in days, of a saved document that can be printed.

 

 

Click Save to save changes.

 

Digitized Signatures Only - any non-zero value equates to TRUE - meaning documents require digitized signatures.

 

Two additional document security options are available which determine the edit and print privileges Managers have on documents awaiting approval.

Options include:

Always - The Manager can always edit/print documents.
Same Group - The Manager can only edit/print documents within his or her group.
Same Region - The Manager can only edit/print documents within his or her region.
Same Branch - The Manager can only edit/print documents within his or her branch.
Same Group & Region - The Manager can only edit/print documents within his or her group and regional assignment.
Same Group & Branch - The Manager can only edit/print documents within his or her group and branch assignment.
Never -The Manager can never edit/print documents.
